CCCU Senior Fellow

WASHINGTON, DC -- Gary J. Oliver, Ph.D., executive director of the Center for Relationship Enrichment (CRE), has been appointed as a Senior Fellow with the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities. The Center is on the campus of John Brown University (AR), where Dr. Oliver is professor of psychology and practical theology. He is also a clinical psychologist.

The mission of the Center for Relationship Enrichment is to equip students, individuals, couples, families and organizations to cultivate healthy relationships through Christ-centered counseling, consulting, education and enrichment. The Center also supports John Brown's masters program in marriage and family counseling.

In his role as senior fellow, Oliver will explore the development of positive relational skills (or emotional intelligence) as a distinctive of a Christ-centered campus, gathering information and ideas from CCCU members and affiliates that could then be shared in appropriate venues.
