Carrie Oliver is a wife, mother, national speaker, author, teacher, university instructor and Licensed Professional Counselor. She earned her M.A. from Denver Seminary and her B.A. from the University of Nebraska .
Carrie has over 15 years experience counseling both in community agencies and as part of church-based counseling centers. In addition to her clinical experience she is the Director of the University Relationships Initiative with The Center for Relationship Enrichment at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas . She is part of a team that designs and delivers programs to help students cultivate emotional and relational maturity during their pivotal college years. She also works with church leaders and individual congregations to help them become more effective in ministering to the whole person.
In addition to consulting and training Carrie specializes in counseling with couples, women's issues, and helping people develop healthy ways to deal with their emotions. She is a certified “PREP” and Couple Communication trainer and is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.
Carrie speaks at national conferences and women's retreats. In addition, she and her husband, Dr. Gary J. Oliver, travel both nationally and internationally providing their Growth-Focused™ Marriage Enrichment Seminars and parenting workshops. She has contributed to several books and magazines, co-authored the book “Raising Sons and Loving It!” and with her husband, Gary, is a regular columnist with Marriage Partnership and Home Life magazines. |
